question for science researchers-

How do you conduct your science research? I'm an upcoming sophomore and i too would like to do some research to get a feeling for what college and a future job may be like. I personally don't know any other high schoolers who do this and alot of my friends think its actually weird.

Is there a specific topic you want to study yet? That's the first step.

^ I agree. and it's certainly not weird! LOL If you finally do decide that a particular topic interests you, try contacting professors in nearby universities who are conducting research in that field. Offer to help over the summer or part-time - whatever works with your shcedule. However, if your parents have any contacts (meaning have friends who are researchers), that's a big bonus! :D

Well I plan on being a psychologist. I already have plans to intern at the Scripps Research Institute next summer to study biological and chemical sciences. I'm wondering how to prepare and do research during the school year.
