Question for UCD Admissions

Perhaps posting this here will give me a better shot to get my question answered…

I’ve been accepted into UCD with conditions…one of the conditions states:

“NOTE: Our preliminary evaluation of your academic record through spring 2008, including the application update you submitted, shows that you have completed to date less than 90 quarter units. To achieve junior standing, you must have completed 90 quarter transferable units at the point of 2008 enrollment. It is to your advantage to complete these units during summer session 2008.”

So this means i may use summer school to take that one more class that i’m missing correct? Do i need to let them know right now or call anybody right now to clarify that i will take the 1 more class to meet the 60 unit requirement in the upcoming summer semester? Thanks a lot !

i would reccomend calling them to let them know your plans (they pretty much expect you to make up the class) most likely they will give you until September 1 to turn in transcripts for summer courses. You should be very happy they are being this lenient with you. This is one of the main reasons why I'm going to Davis because they are very understanding. Hope I helped and Good Luck!!!

Although we are expecting you to complete this course during the summer session I would recommend keeping us informed by completing the "Application and Coursework Changes" link through MyAdmissions. Include in the reason for the change, that you plan on completing the added course to reach the required number of units as stated in your conditions of admission. This also informs us that you understood your conditions and we should expect a summer transcript from you. Congratulations on your admission!

Is there any makeup date for the analytical writing placement examination? My son has section finals for swim team that day.

What are the rules for the GPA you must maintain during your senior year?

You can take the AWPE during 0 Week (the week before classes start). It will be held on campus as opposed to a local high school. I believe the difficulty is also the same.

dmission: Please refer to your "Coniditions of Admissions" or "Admission Contract." This will list the expectations you need to meet.

It doesn't mention anything about a 3.0 on there, just C's. is this the case?

^ For you it seems so. Just pass your courses with "C" grades or better, although I recommend you complete them with the highest grades possible. I'd be concerned if an excellent student such as yourself comes to us with straight "C" grades.
