Question from an Early Decision I applicant.

I applied to Smith College for the Early Decision I deadline back in November. According to College Board, I should find out on December 15th, a month after the application was due. My college counselor told me I could find out anytime after December 10th though. Does anyone know if Smith College sends emails, makes calls, or posts to their Banner Web page to notify applicants of their decision? Most of my friends have gotten emails giving them a date and time. Many schools are releasing their decisions on December 15th at 5:00 PM EST, should I expect to hear then as well? I know Smith College definitely sends out their decision via snail mail, but do they send that out on the 15th or prior so that it arrives on the 15th? Thanks!

From the various things I have read, I believe you will get an email alerting you that your decision is posted on BannerWeb (possibly this Friday!) If accepted, a letter will follow in the mail. Good luck :)

They just sent an email stating that decisions would be available at 6:00 pm EST, December 12th! fingers crossed for both of us

@ClubAcres - Thank you!
@Zealous184 - I know! I squealed when I got it and have been obsessively checking BannerWeb ever since.

@EvanElizabeth Haha, we’re having a countdown of sorts in the other thread cx

In case anyone is as obsessive as I was, you may want to check early because last year my decision was available an hour or too before the announced time…
