Question from prospective McGill student about grading curve

Hi,

I’m currently in grade eleven. Next year I plan on applying to three schools: McGill, UofT, and Queens. I want to major in political science. After my undergraduate degree I want to attend law school in the States. For this to happen, I need superlative marks.

Now, it’s not that I don’t think I’ll be able to get them, more that I am worried about McGill’s use of a grading curve. Is it possible to actually get a 3.75+ GPA when I graduate? I’m really anxious. Additionally, I am thinking about minoring in economics. I really dislike math, though, so I’m wondering if economics at McGill is really math-intensive.

Thanks so much.
