Hey guys. I’m going to be an electrical engineering major but I would like to take an introductory class in guitar. I already know how to play but I haven’t reached a advanced level. Can anyone tell me about these classes? Such as is there even such a class? Is it available to me as a non-music major? Would I be able to take it my first year? How many quarters is it? Would I be able to progress to the next level in the same year if I am competent enough?

other than checking out the guitar classes offered through the music major, i would check the experimental college, they always have guitar classes that have a relatively low number of students. You'll get a good amount of attention and can learn at your own level with the teacher.

Whats the experimental college?

wat about music classes for first time learners. i wanna learn the guitar :D

um bumpage

The experimental college is basically where you can learn to do different things (cook, dance, play music, yoga, etc). It costs extra money outside of the university and student fees/tuition.

take a look for yourself:
Experimental College

and the classes

besides that, I do not believe that there are actual guitar classes that you could take like for Majors or non-majors. At most, I think that you'd probably be able to find some other students on campus that play guitar and would be more than happy to help you out!

best of luck!
