So i have been admitted as a Transfer student to their accounting program and right now it’s a coin toss between Cal Poly SLO and CSUN. Yes I know SLO is the more respected school but hear me out. I have been looking into the recruiting trends through https://careers.calpoly.edu/search.php and I have noticed that graduates disproportionately get recruited and sent to Bay area firms. That doesn’t really appeal to me LA cost of living is high enough already. So I want to know how the recruiting prospects work with these firms? Like do you get a choice on where you want to go? I know that some graduates go off to the major firms office in LA and Irvine areas. Anyone got any tips?
We’ll it sucks that my thread went dead but to any future people seeing this thread I Facebooked the Cal Poly accounting club and they told me that while recruiting is disproportionately Bay Area it’s still plenty possibly to go SoCal as long as you inform your recruiters what your interests are.
Thanks for finding that out.
