Question on Transferring

Hi,

I have a small question regarding transferring. I recently was accepted into NYU but I have this whole elaborate plan of transferring after two years to another university (don't ask). The question here is- let's say after my freshman year I apply to the university of my choice but I end up getting rejected. Can I re-apply to the same school at the end of my sophomore year again, or is it a one-shot thing?

Sorry for the question, especially if it's dumb or has been asked before. But thanks in advance though for reading and responding.

yes you absolutely can. i know of people who have tried for yale and columbia the full three times.
some colleges specifically state that they don't want you to reapply only a semester later though.

good luck!

((sorry, I'd just like to clarify I'm Asian Sensation's friend, not actually her. If that matters :))

Thanks for answering, I really appreciate it! But when you say 'three' times you mean applying after freshman, sophomore, AND junior year? I thought you can only apply after freshman or sophomore year? Or are you counting semester transfers in what you said?

Thanks again!

Maybe autrefois is talking about freshman admissions, then transferring as a sophomore (at the end of freshman year) and then as a junior (at the end of sophomore year)? Just a guess.

yep. hs, college (2x)
