question. recommended courses to take for transfer

i'm currently at a 4 year institution and want to transfer to another 4 year institution such as pitzer, uc's, lmu. I am only a 2nd semester freshmen and after this current semester, i would have completed:
precalculus, stats 1, gen psych, microeconomics, writing 101, an intro to politics, intro to international relations, an intro to American institutions and politics class, 300-level international relations class, old testament class

as you can see, i am a political science major and also have not taken any science classes yet

however, to trasnfer, are there any basic classes that colleges would recommend trasnfer students to complete prior to transfering instead of only taking classes in pursuit of their major?

if my question seems unclear, please tell me. I need to schedule my summer classes accordingly

thakn you

I had a similar dilemma. From what my transfer advisors and after contacting the schools directly. It is the best bet to look at the course catalog and see what classes your intended school of transfer has to offer. Then to see if you college offers similar course and contact the school to see if it a suitable fit. Take in mind the general education classes you have to finish in order to graduate

Expanding on cuatro’s comment: look at the recommended curriculum for those majoring in Poli Sci at your intended schools. Try to model your selections on their recommended plan. It might not matter, but that is always a good plan. If they like their poli sci majors to get science courses out of the way in the first two years, then do that. If not, then you can save them for later.
