What kind of format are they in, i.e. number of digits, and whether they include letters, numbers, or both?

Thanks in advance.

I think mine was 4 numbers. Why?

the past codes ive had were always 4 numbers

^^ Thanks.

Is a unique code assigned to each student, or do all students with the same adviser share the same code?

If you have already received a code, approximately what number range was it in (for example, 1000s, 2000s, etc.) ?

Thanks very much in advance.

i believe each student has his/her unique code each semester

mine has ranged from 1000-6000, so its pretty random

are you trying to like break the code?

^...if so, there is a better way...

Don't worry about your major advisor code unless you are already declared. As long as you are Undecided, you only have to use it once and its given to you on a little sheet of paper at CalSO/Welcome Week.

I have to call two advisors every semester for a code because I'm a double major. It's sort of a pain. Enjoy the freedom from bureaucracy while you have it! ;)
