I’ve been on an internship hunt for about half a month so far, and while I haven’t found one, I’m finding an interesting trend in education requirements. I’ve noticed several internships ask for applicants to be in pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science or a related field. My university offers the Bachelor of Arts degree to everyone except the education majors. If you’re not in education, you will not be eligible to receive a Bachelor of Science degree. While my major is Equine Studies, I do believe it could classed as a related field to Animal Science, as its a more focused form of Animal Science. The concepts are relatively the same. I was wondering if I’d still be able to apply for an internship if my degree is a Bachelor of Arts degree though. At my university, obtaining anything else would be impossible with my major, and I certainly don’t want it to interfere with my future career prospects.
