I have always been a high-performing, involved student throughout the years. My parents and I mutually decided it would be for the better to enroll as a full-time dual enrollment student during my senior year at a local college. So, that’s the track I’ve followed this year.
Final grades for the year have just been released, and I’ve finished dual enrollment with the following marks: A, A, A-, A-, B+, B, B, B-, and a C (though I suppose the pluses and minuses won’t appear on my high school transcript). My freshman-junior year grades were far better. I took very challenging classes during those three years (as I continued to do with dual enrollment this year) and only received 3 B’s during the course of those three years, and the rest of my grades were A’s. I have also excelled in the many AP courses I’ve taken, both in class and on the exams.
This is all to say, do any of you have any idea if my performance as a dual-enrollment student this year could potentially rescind my admission to the University of Florida? I have already paid my tuition deposit, registered for Preview (which is the university’s summer orientation), and confirmed my acceptance to the Honors College. Essentially, I have already completely committed, and it is too late to now enroll at my two backup schools, given that the May 1st deadline has passed. I am not entirely sure what the specifics of the university’s policies are for senior year grades, and I’m beginning to really start to worry. I’m willing to contact anyone that I need to to vouch for myself, as I know I would make a great asset to the school, regardless of my sub-par performance this year.
I appreciate any responses in advance.
