Alright. Im not sure if I want to apply to The College or Wharton. I want to do an international relation/business type of thing without applying to Huntsman.

Im most concerned about getting the most fairly balanced education there between international relations and business. So Im wondering how many classes I can take at the other college while in The College or Wharton.

I called UPenn and they said that you are allowed to take 4 classes outside of your college. However, when you go to the Wharton requirements for the business major on the website, they include sections that in theory could allow you to take up to 7 or 9 classes that are outside of Wharton.

So does anyone know if you can truly take more than 4 classes outside of Wharton or if it is all the same for each college?

This policy differs by school. Theoretically, you can take as many classes as you want outside of your school. The tricky part is determining how many of those classes you can count towards your degree requirements. So you might take more classes outside of your school that just don't count for anything (but still factor into your GPA, etc).

I think in the College it's like 6, but I'm not sure.

Wharton students take almost 50% of their degree requirements outside of Wharton. Of course that is for those who truly embrace the liberal arts. You can get away with doing less (especially with AP credit), but not too much less. The rules are much stricter now than they were before.

Well if I was to get into Wharton, I would want to take as many classes as possible outside of Wharton.

Thanks for the info.
