Does the extreamly cold, snowy weather at Hamilton College (or any New England College) affect the social scene there? I'm thinking that maybe people become down beat and less fun. Mayeb they start staying in their rooms too much. I'm just wondeirng if the cold weather effects the night life?

I have a friend at Hamilton, a very social creature, and he’s loving it.

My school doesn’t have nice winter weather but I’m pretty sure people did in previous years and will still go out in the winter.

It hasn’t been quite that cold here yet, but at my previous college, during the winter (especially snowy nights) less people went out.

Parties just move indoor in very cold areas - which has a benefit: less drunk people yelling in the streets.

Worse situation it hot-ish cities in the late summer, when those september heat havet struck and wherever you dare to enter for party, it’s too hot and humid.

I go to school in upstate NY about 20 miles from the canadian border.
If anything, partying increases during the winter because there is nothing else to do when it is 10 below.
Don’t worry, a little cold won’t stop people from having fun. Maybe from going to class, but not going out.
