Question, someone hear me out, please.

I wanted to incorporate my GPA in my college essay. I brought my GPA up ALOT within this last year, and I wanted the admissions to get a better feel for who i was then and now. It is a bad idea to include my GPA in the transfer essay??

Thanks for reading!

My personal opinion on this would be that incorporating your GPA to show proof of your change is shallow… I’m assuming colleges have access to your transcript, so they would be able to see your GPA. What they can’t see is the reason why you changed from getting poor grades, to receiving good ones. I would say a much more personal and strong essay would be one that describes your mental change, rather than your change in grades.

actually your right, it is pretty shallow. But would they actually be able to see my grades and GPA from a year ago on my transcript? I thought a transcript was just a list of grades and your current GPA?
