<p>All Freshman applicants must submit a personal essay and one teacher/counselor letter of recommendation. All applicants are also encouraged to complete this supplemental form, which will provide additional information for review by the admissions committee."</p>

<p>Can someone tell me whether the essay I wrote for the Common Application qualifies as the essay required for the Albany application? Or do I need a second essay for the supplement?</p>

<p>yes.. my son just used the essay from the common application , but he applied with the common application, not suny.</p>

<p>the supplementform is encouraged.. i think he just belew it off. but he had great stats to begin with.</p>
