I thought LSA was an avid programmer too?

wall-scaling?!

only if it's a FIREwall. :)

I suppose, but it's hard to hypothesize about how you'd feel in another situation. Comparing my friends who were deferred from their top choices to those who were rejected, I'd say those who were deferred are definitely feeling better about themselves right now. They're treating it basically as a rejection in terms of preparation of their other applications, but the self-comforting phrase "at least I wasn't rejected" has been floating around quite a bit.

AHH overdose of LSA-wit!!

-falls over and dies-

Yeah it was funny how everyone posted at the same time.

Wow everyone is posting. Seems like (4) always wins.

oh poor kid :(

Wait, you two aren't the ones mentioned in Ben's blog, are you?

No, KirbusPrime. I'm not sure who those folks are...

Then am i just missing out on a joke here?

I think we were just playing with each other.

Oh, sorry, you got to excuse me. Like the t-shirt says: "I'm not that smart, but I lift heavy things!"

Oh but were we? You're still on for that ninja star-throwing duel.

I wouldn't want to throw you anywhere ;)

KirbusPrime - no, they are just making fun of my blog. Punks.

Haha, I read that post, I'm just a little slower than most MIT applicants...

-patpat-

.

Thanks for the comfort... If I manage to get into MIT, i'm going to be so overwhelmed by the intelligence of people there. Just from seeing some of the resumes on here... jeez.

Thank you all for the estimates...lol

That was a large number of deferees.

sigh How will they ever choose?

I thought the # of deferees would be much smaller...this has made me worried again.

:) stresss sucks
