question: where do college students post their resumes?

Hi,

I have a question for the community:
What websites / resources are college students using for posting their resume?

(Are students just using the mega sites like monster.com or are their niche college sites that I'm not familiar with?)

I know Craigslist is one.

Many post on LinkinIn

oops that is, Linkedin

Posting your resume is not the way to get a job post-grad. You need to attend career fairs and networking events, as well as contact your career office for on-campus interviews.

yeah, I never posted my resume. I just applied to jobs. don’t limit yourself to on-campus interviews and career fairs either; do lots of research and apply to as many places as possible.

^^Exactly. I didn’t mean to say only use career fairs. You need to make sure you are setting yourself up for as many options as possible.

Posting your resume on a job site and waiting it out is 100% the wrong approach. We are in an employer’s job market and as a college student with probably zero experience, you are not in a position to have people searching for and getting excited about your resume.
