<p>I wouldn't go as far to say "unique" BUT it is definitely a plus.</p>
<p>I'm sure it's a plus, it would be even better though if your math team/debate team went to states or nationals and won. My school's math team for example has been state champs for many years in a row, and to say that you are the captain of that sort of team is very prestigious.</p>

<p>I'm captain this year, people won stats last year, does that help at all? you don't find out whether you win states till May.</p>
