Question

I am currently a senior in college and I have what is quite possibly a stupid question. I am on the pre-med track and was unfortunately unable to complete all of the requirements necessary to apply to medical school and was hoping to take these courses at a different school over the summer after graduation. However, I don't want to ask my parents for the money (since they paid for college, and I should have gotten all of it done while there). But student loans always have a stipulation that the applicant be working towards a degree of some sort. I only need to take two classes. Does anyone know of some way to work around that? OR know of any other type of loan which would help me out here?

Thanks.

Other than taking your prereqs at a community college to get aid...there is no other aid available for a 4 year college for those just taking classes except a private loan. You can say you're doing a second bachelor's and then just drop out when you're done to get federal loans.

Hm... thanks. Does anyone know if it's possible to take out a private student loan NOW? One that would give the money to me directly (like Chase, or something) and then save the money for use in a summer course, allowing me to bypass the whole "working towards a degree" thing?
