<p>no. i don't speak french (yet), and i've had zero problems with students who speak french. However, you do get the occasional condescending French speaker that sucks at English, *****ing about how you don't speak french. But usually speaking only English does not seem to be a problem.</p>

<p>Yeah, McGill is an English-speaking university, there is no requirement to speak French and classes are in English. Furthermore, it has a greater tendency to accept students from outside of Quebec than other Montreal universities, meaning that students that can't speak French to save their lives are much more common than you'd think.</p>
