Questions about Being a Chemistry Undergraduate in UNC

Hello everyone! I’ve got a few questions regarding being a chemistry major at UNC, if you guys don’t mind me asking. I’ve looked far and wide for specific answers and hope that by asking here I will be able to obtain some great and valuable insights on this matter!

  1. Are the professors passionate in teaching or do they treat undergraduate teaching as a distraction from their research?
  2. Being in the Research Triangle Park, was it easy for you to secure an internship?
  3. How is the material being taught by the professors? Is it just reading through slides or having students engage in discussions etc.?
  4. Is it easy to be involved in research?
