Questions about CS for Engineers

I already got AP credit for AP Comp Sci AB, so I have a really good grasp on Java.

I was wondering if to complete my CS requirements for Engineering I only had to take CS101M (the transition to Matlab course) or if they also require me to take CS211?

From what I've read I only have to take CS101M, but when I read Cornell Engineering : Computer Science Course List, when they talk about people who have AP Credit, they say to move on to CS211 as their first course.

Maybe that is only for CS Majors?

Any help here? I'm stumped.
Thanks

CS211 is a requirement for the CS major. I don't thing it's required by any other engineering major...

CS211 is also required for ORE and ISST. It's also taken by a lot of ECEs. For all the other Engineering majors, you need to complete I think 2 ENGRD classes; CS211 fulfills this requirement (though there are plenty of others to choose from).
