questions about georgetown. please answer ASAP :)

<p>asking questions for a highschool college search. would be great if those that go to georgetown answered these questions for me.</p>

<li>what’s your general view of the school … like campus life and the people there?</li>
<li>What’s it like living in Washington D.C.? Do the students get really involved in politics and upcoming events, etc?</li>
<li>Researching on georgetown, there seems to be a stress on religion? Is this true? Is this seen in the social arena or anywhere?</li>
<li>What is dorm life like? Good lifestyle?</li>
<li>Is it pretty easy to make friends and what’s the typical class setting like?</li>
<li>is it easy to talk to teachers and are the teachers willing to give up free time to talk ?</li>

<p>I am only an incoming freshman so I can't really help you that much, but I can try to answer a few of your questions.</p>

<li><p>From talking to people on Facebook and such I get the feeling that GTown students are very friendly and laidback but also tend to be somewhat preprofessional. This sort of changes with each of the schools and I know students in each school have their own stereotypes. GU also seems to be a work hard, play hard school where students know how to have fun but school generally comes first.</p></li>
<li><p>I can't really tell you because I am not living in DC yet but I have spoken to many people who have been able to take advantage of all the opportunities of DC and the majority of people seem to have an interest in politics even if they are not majoring in govt. or in SFS.</p></li>
<li><p>Georgetown is a Jesuit school so religion is going to be there but from what I have seen it is not all-pervasive. Religion is available if you want it (any religion, not just Catholicism), but you shouldn't have that many problems if you're not religious.</p></li>

<p>On YouTube, if you look up the key words "Georgetown" and "theU," you can find a couple of brief blurbs from students there about housing, food, teachers, etc.</p>
