Hi! I’m a senior planning on majoring in Psychology and hoping to get a PhD. I plan on going to either the University of Denver or CU Denver and I was wondering if it was possible to get a Bachelor’s Degree and then just move on to get my doctorate degree without getting my Master’s Degree. Thanks!
I don’t think so. You can ask or read up in the admissions page
Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
This depends on your undergrad field of study and grades, the graduate field of studym and the place where you are conducting your graduate work.
PhD programs in many subjects commonly admit students completing their BA/BS degrees. PhD students who entered with BA/BS degrees sometimes to complete MA/MS degrees on the way to their PhD degrees.
For example, this psychology PhD program lists a “U.S. Bachelor’s degree or its foreign equivalent” as a prerequisite: https://psychology.stanford.edu/admissions/phd-admissions
If you have a competitive application as a BS/BA, yes, you can certainly go directly into a PhD program without first earning a Masters.
