ok so I'm considering applying EA as an international and I'm wondering if the "no financial aid for EA" rule will boost my chances since there wouldn't be as much competition? i don't need financial aid...

thnx

Not needing financial aid definitely gives you an advantage over internationals who do. UoC is not need-blind for internationals.

I think almost every school is interested in building its international profile, so being an international and not needing FA is to your advantage.

However, I think that the "bump" it will give you is overrated... I have no real basis on which I'm making this claim, but rather just the observation that everybody I know here (athlete, ethnic minority, legacy, international, etc.) is just as qualified to be here as anybody else. So I don't think it will make a "no" decision into a "yes" decision, but it might help your case if you're on the fence.

k thnx guys but what I meant was that internationals that need financial aid can't apply EA right? so that means there is less international competition for me. unless I gotthe wrong idea on who I am competing against
my idea of who is my competition is EA international(I'm not competing against US students)
I've even heard that I'm competing with people from my specific country or even province...is this true?
