Does it usually take up the full 3 hour slot? My schedule was made with a bio class right after a chem lab. I"m not sure if I could get to that class on time.

Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. Depends entirely on the lab. What specific classes are you referring to, and what rooms and buildings are they in?

I had a similar situation first semester, where I had a bio lab in TLS and english in Arjona right after it (I think it was like my lab ended at 3:00, and english started at 3:00). My bio lab TAs would let me out 10 mins early if the lab happened to go right to the end so that I'd have time to get to english. Don't know if all TAs are like that though.

I go from:

General Chemistry
Laboratory
Chemistry Building Room T208
1:00PM - 4:00PM

to

BIOL 107 (014)
Principles of Biology I
Lecture
Torrey -Life Science Room 154
4:00PM - 5:15PM

That's not a huge dilemma, the chem building and TLS aren't that far from each other. Besides, it's okay if you're a couple minutes late to lecture usually. Most of my chem labs didn't take up the whole time anyway. I wouldn't worry about this scheduling.

I assume you are taking chem 127 class next semester, very few labs take more than 2 hours at the most. I can only remember 2 from my first semester in which I got out after the 2 hour mark. Mind, that this entirely depends on your T.A, and the pace you want to go at. It usually helps to read the lab manual before the lab.

You will have no problem...i made it through chem 127 and 128 without a single lab taking the whole 3 hours slot. Plus the buildings are really close (2-3 minute walk) and no one will care if you are late to lecture.

Most of the labs in 127 are mad easy except for the damn titration labs...make sure to check that your buret does not leak!!!!
