Questions about UC/App?

Hey guys so i have 4 questions that i really need to be answered. Here they are:

For the coursework other than a-g part of the app, can i put courses i took in school that go along with the program HOSA(Health Students of America) such as Medical Skills, Health Science 1&2, Allied health 3 and Nurse Assistent 3.

Do you think UCLA(thats where im applying to and other UC's) might consider this?

In the beginning of my junior year, I moved out-of-state and i wasnt able to start school until late November of last year. Thus, there was a significant drop of grades my junior year that would look weird if they compared it to my freshman, sophomore, and now senior year. That year(second semester) i got several C's(which i never get) and some B's. I also had to audit all my classes for the first semester because catching up on previous work and continuing with present work was really overwhelming :/. So i'm wondering if they would understand what happened to me.

What are my chances of getting into UCLA and other UC's?

I have a good gpa but not great because of the whole incident my junior year,in the top 10% of my school, Im involved in clubs, however i dont have great test scores. If i put the best subscores of the two SAT's I've taken so far, it would be :490CR,600M,490W and ACT:22(this was in april). I do plan on taking both tests this december but thats it.

Does UC campuses accept Letters of recommendation?

I have a LOR from a well-known doctor that i'm hoping will help my chances

Yes, that is exactly why they have that space.

Absolutely. You have nothing to lose by letting them know. The worst case scenario is they don’t think it’s good enough. If you omit it, they have no choice but to assume you were slacking or incapable of the work.

Nobody knows. The scores a little low, but only the adcoms know for sure. Again, you have nothing to lose by applying.

No, they don’t. They don’t even want transcripts! They’re crazy about not accepting extra stuff.

Ok thanks alot, i wasn’t sure about the coursework other a-g because those courses i mentioned were for academic credit. Also, can i put the LOR i got from this famous doctor as a achievement or award because its from like a world academy of medicine?

Now we’re beyond what anyone on this forum can help you with. I think that you can put whatever you’d like in the “honors” section, so why not? I would call the UC App support and ask that one. It would be a shame for that to go to waste.

Thanks alot monsterclam!
