Questions about UChicago's creative writing program and debate society

Can anyone help by providing me with some credible facts about how good UChicago's creative writing program is....and also its Chicago Debate Society?

I'd really appreciate any sound guidance.

I haven't taken any classes in creative writing.... but there are many literary magazines/workshops/visiting poets and writers. I've been quite impressed with everything I've read from other students and most of the lectures I've heard. My friends who have been in creative writing classes say it's nothing short of a life-changing experience-- the academic classes are very, very popular.

For more "credible facts," check out https://evaluations.uchicago.edu/ and look up some of the past creative writing courses (CRWR). You'll get a sense of how the professors teach.

Another great site to see what's going on is poempresent.uchicago.edu

Thanks Amykins....unfortunately, I am only a Fall 2007 admitted student and don't have an ID and password to access the student system.

oh no! when I was looking at the school, the site was still open to the public. Needless to say, I wasted lots and lots of time on it...

I was in the Debate Society there, but no time for that anymore, it's really relaxed and uncompetitive, because Parli debate does take a time commitment.
