I am hard to read, very hard course load (9-10 AP's), should have two or three (not sure if I will pursue a 3rd) foreign languages, good grades (A's and a few B's), and I am expecting a high ACT score. My EC's are what is interesting, I am in FBLA and Spanish Honors Society and am super uncoordinated and can't play sports so I don't play any (but go to the gym regularly) and to make up for this I keep the score books for the baseball team. I also write an opinionated blog about MLB, which will have been up for 5 years after my senior year. I will probably be attempting to get an internship over the next two summers. I want to become a GM for a MLB team someday and would like to major in either Business/Econ/Stat or double major in two. I spent 13 years living in San Diego and am in my 3rd year in Charlotte NC, but I have been to NYC three times and fell in love. I have family in NJ that I could stay with and I am loving the idea of Columbia. I was wondering if I could be a fit and I had a few questions.

1) Chance me! (I figure a college could see the EC's as really strong or really weak, depending on the admissions officer)
2) Do you think it is the right school for me? (Based on area/interests)
3) Is the Economics or Business program at Colombia particularly strong?
4) Are there any alums who would like to share experiences?
5) For those living in NYC, any advice on living?
6) Was Columbia award a good enough financial aid package?
7) My ethnic background is unique: 12.5% Mexican, 12.5% Italian, 25% Russian, 25% ? (My mother's father was adopted so we don't know what the other 25% is), what should I call myself on college apps?
8) What do you recommend I do to boost my chances?
9) Is EA a good or bad thing to do? (If I can't get in at Columbia, my next two choices are UNC Chapel Hill and UCLA)
