If we want to apply to SMPA as a current student, when is the best time to apply? Also, I know that there are several co-requisites we have to take to apply. If we took an AP equivalent for a required course (for example, US Gov&Pol), can we skip that corequisite or do we still have to take it? When we apply to the program, would we submit our equivalent AP score?

The deadline for the spring semester was in mid February, so it should be around the same time next year. I believe you generally apply as a sophomore; check out the site for more info ([Undergraduate Admissions - School of Media and Public Affairs - The George Washington University](http://smpa.gwu.edu/admissions/undergraduate/)). If you have AP credit, you don’t have to take the class that you have credit for. Just make sure to send your scores to GW so that they have them in the system.
