1) I heard that Notre Dame has a zero-tolerance policy on marijuana...I kind of like this idea but I'm not sure how true it is, I mean...it is still college after all. Are there still potheads at Notre Dame?

2) On my tour, the bathrooms that I saw were very nice and had shower stalls. Do all of the dorms have stall-style showers?

3) How do you guys feel about the parietals?

4) Do a lot of people go home on weekends? (The ones that live nearby, of course) Or do a lot of students stick around campus?

Thanks!

1) The University has a no-tolerance policy, in that you will not ever get away with it if you are caught, and the punishment is often very strict, especially if you are not cooperative. Getting kicked off campus or suspension for a semester is likely.

2) Yes. There are no locker room style showers, if that was the alternative you were implying.

3) My opinion is complicated, but generally I think they are a good thing. It’s easy enough to break them as long as you’re smart.

4) No, almost everyone stays on campus. I do not know anyone who “goes home” on the weekends - they may visit home, but only when there is a special event or they need something. They do not leave campus on Friday and return Sunday.

i agree w/everything kev said - to add to #3 - it is nice to get some quiet time at 2 in the morning.
