Hello everyone,
I found that this forum is so useful for everyone because all members are so experienced in the college admission process.
So I want to ask all of you some questions about the essay.
I did think of some questions, but now I forget it all and I only ask one.
I'm sure that you read the "On writing the college application essay" by Harry Bauld. I'm reading it. After reading an example essay from Isaak Sharon (p.32), I think again and again but I still cannot understand what she had show the adcom in order to get into Princeton. I found that she is brave (write about application anxieties which adcoms always hate), never short of big idea (.. I shall invite you to dinner ..), imaginative (Let's make it a Sunday ... ) and always longed for happy life (non-clicheness). And I also hear her "voice", and the essay is humour and entertaining.
But I wonder if it is enough to get into Princeton ? What about academic strength or commitment in extracurricular activities ? In addition to what I saw in the essay, what do you see in it ?
Thanks.

that is an excellent book, but i don't see anyone breaking out their copy to go search for it. your application is not based on your essay for starters. You heard his voice in the essay, and i'm sure he had a lot more going for his application. Don't over analyze these things.

er isaak is a she, right?
