Questions on Finance!

What are some qualifying jobs I could consider with a 4 yr college degree majoring in Finance? What are the careers I can consider if I were to extend my education and obtained a MBA in FInance? I know you need working experience before you can receive an MBA, but is it really necessary? Dont Finance majors make enough money anyways?

I know I have alot of questions, but I would greatly appreciated if i could receive some advice/opinions from people!! Thank You

An MBA may not be necessary, which is exactly one of the reasons you should get work experience first.

Many of the jobs you receive out of an MBA program are in the same area as the jobs you receive out of undergrad (ie corporate finance, trading, real estate, investment banking) but the MBA is obviously brought in at a much higher level.

Having not come from a finance background myself, it's hard for me to explain why finance guys/gals come back for their MBAs but I'd say that many times it's because an MBA is often required to move up into management, or to land the more lucrative positions.

The best finance guy I know came from corporate finance. His finance/excel skills far surpass the ibankers' I know, but he has no aspirations to move into Ibanking. He wants to go back to corporate finance and simply stated that in order to move up he needed an MBA.
