I want to become an anesthesiologist, everything about the job description really appeals to me, I've always loved science.. anyway.. I understand that requires a lot of studying. What are the steps to becoming a specialist like that? Is it 4 years undergraduate, 4 years medical, 4 years specialist training? If so, the 4 years of undergraduate confuses me. Should I look for schools that specifically have courses for pre-med? What would my major be? Chemistry/biology/other sciences or would it be .. pre-med? I just need a link to an explanation or a written out explanation because I'm pretty confused. By looking around CC, everything of mine seems to be pretty.. bad. I'm confident that I'm in the top 5% of my school, but my ECs are low and everything. If I get into a mediocre undergraduate and excel would medical school ignore my average high school record?
