Questions on self-studying Physics B

1) Am I starting too late? I am confident that I can master all of the material, and I'm definitely disciplined enough to get through it all, but I don't want to run out of time and find myself shaky on a bunch of topics in May.

2) Looking at the list of topics (AP: Physics B) -- should I do them in that order?

3) Basically, what I'm thinking of doing is buying Giancoli Physics, Princeton Review prep book, and doing one topic per week until exam time. Maybe I'll meet with a tutor towards the end of the year. Would you consider this to be a good approach?

I know it varies from person to person, but I want to get some input before I sign up for the exam in a few weeks.

Thanks ^^

1) No

2) Yes, at least for the first 2/3 of the course. At the end, eg. it doesn’t matter whether you do optics or atomic/nuclear first, as they don’t overlap at all. But if you follow that outline, you’ll be fine.

3) Sure – but you need to figure out which way to self-study works best for you. Everyone is different.

If you’re taking a physics course equivalent to the exam then it shouldn’t be too bad. If it’s honors physics that covers the majority of the topics then you’re fine.
