For those of you who took the SSAT, how did you answer the SSAT essay? Did you support the topic with one example, or two? Did you use current events, or personal experience? Is it best to support your answer with a current event? How many paragraphs did you write? Is it OK if I don't use examples from current events?

Sorry I'm asking so many questions... I'm just not sure about the 'support answer with examples part'. Thank you so much to everyone who answers!

I answered with two examples in three paragraphs, and with both personal experience and current events. My essay wasn’t all that hot, I’ll admit. But whatever you do, DON’T STRESS ABOUT IT! You’ll end up over-thinking it and messing up. Calm down. I’m sure it’s fine that you don’t use current events. There is no point in stressing about what everybody else did if you have a different subject.

@Quizzical, thanks for the advice! I’ll try to calm down on the day of the test. ;)
