I am applying as a freshman for Film production to a few colleges and LMU is one of them. I wanna know if I am correct- you don't need to submit any films or videos, etc as part of application. Is this what I hjave to submit?- http://admission.lmu.edu/apply/

where can I find info about film production? confused. other colleges have made it so easy to follow....

I heard they changed the requirements for prod last year after they had a record 900+ applicants last fall for its 35+ slots. I understand some applicants were invited to submit something, but not up front and not everyone. I believe that for SFTV, only Animation has a portfolio required with the Common App and it is submitted through a link to Slide Room. (Animation takes even fewer students than PROD. DD3 is a freshman this fall in Animation. Loves it!) Check here for more admissions information and then email or call the admissions office. <a href=“Apply - Loyola Marymount University”>http://admission.lmu.edu/apply/

If you are really interested in this program, you need to visit the university and talk with the department chair and other faculty at LMU. Faculty are incredibly accessible and the personal touch will set you apart from the hundreds that apply but don’t make the effort to research and learn about the program. It’s a very competitive program and few get in. If you do, according to DS3 who is now a junior and completing his junior thesis screenplay, it’s incredible.
