I got a few questions and would appreciate it if anyone can answer them for me:
- Will UC Davis physically mail packages to accepted students?
- When is the housing deadline?
- It shows an error page in the awards/scholarship page. Does it mean that I didn’t receive any or the awards aren’t out yet?
- Is there a group for accepted students?
Thx guys!
@StressedSeniorInt: I can answer a few questions but not all
-
My son did not receive a physical acceptance package (this was 4 years ago) and he was not International but a California resident

This is the information about housing. It is not on a first come basis and they usually do not look at the housing applications until June but you still need to submit by the deadline listed on your portal after you SIR.
Entering in Fall Quarter
Incoming freshmen who are admitted for fall quarter will receive a housing contract offer after submitting their Statement of Intent to Register (SIR). Immediately after submitting their SIR, students may begin the online housing application process. An email invitation will also be sent to students following their SIR. Application instructions are summarized below. The deadline to complete the housing contract is included within the application and the email invitation, and is usually within 1-2 days of the SIR deadline. The freshmen application process typically is open from mid-March through April.
- If there is an error on the FA page, I would give it a few hours - days to update however, since you are an International student, do not expect any financial aid. You should expect to be full pay.
There is a package. I got one two years ago
@10s4life Do you know if they mail it to international students as well? Also, what is included in the package?
@Gumbymom Thanks so much for the clarification!!
@StressedSeniorInt Yep! It’s a package that has a pamphlet brochure and certificate of acceptance. It’s nothing special but cool nonetheless
Do all the UC’s do that or only a few? I’ve been accepted to 3 UC’s up until now and have received none.
