My S and I are going on a tour @ Florida State Univ next week and are meeting with a pre-med advisor. Any suggestions as to what to ask? He's my first so this is all new to me. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You might want to post your question on the Premed Topics forum:

if planning to “major” in premed- how useful is that pre-med major if I don’t go/get into medical school? A more useful major (biology, Chem, biochem) will prepare your son for medical school just as well and make him more attractive to grad schools or industry (job)

if not, discuss the new MCAT exam which has been reformed to include biochemistry and psychology content

There is no pre-med major at Florida State or at most schools.
