Questions to ask UC Berkeley Transfers Admissions

I’m joining community college this fall and I recently got the opportunity to speak with a UC Berkeley admissions adviser for 30 minutes or so. I’m majoring in Computer Science and am going to apply to the Berkeley L&S CS program.

I’ve made a list of all the classes I’ll be taking using assist and am going to bring the relevant documents. I’ll also be asking a couple of transfer process questions that I want cleared up. I’m going to discuss some of the programs they offer for transfer students.

All that said and done I expect it to only take 10 to 15 minutes or so. What would you guys recommend asking that would be informative and productive regarding my major and such.

Do you guys have any questions you’d like to ask the admissions officer? If I have time I’ll try my best to ask those too. I think that the officer is specifically deals with L&S transfers but will answer broad questions regarding the process.

Ask about extra-curriculars, competitive GPA, TAP, any possible sequence glitches you might want clarified – for instance, can you take part of a sequence at another CCC, if necessary. Good to see you being pro-active! :slight_smile:

^Yep!

@lindyk8 Thanks for the advice!

I wasn’t the greatest student in high school and I didn’t want the fact that I was under prepared to bar me from taking the right decisions and achieving success in Community College. So that’s why I’m asking so many questions.

@Orangered123 I saw your post and was wondering if you could please share any valuable advice you received from the admissions advisor.
