questions!

hey everyone so i've just got a couple of questions about wellesley..

i apologize beforehand for any dumb ones hehe

1) so there's no application fee to pay if you submit your commonapp and supplement online, but will i have to pay the fee if i send in my transcript, teacher recs, and such through mail?

2) my highest critical reading score (out of 2 sittings) is 660. umm does that look not so good?

3) also to early decision/action applicants who were accepted ... what was your essay topic about?? i'm almost done with my essay, but i'm afraid it might be too generic. i talk about my mother who really has had the greatest influence on my life. she taught me that helping others is incredibly important and as a result, i really can't see myself doing anything else but working to help others and volunteering. i have a feeling that many applicants talk about their mothers (although no one can blame them cause moms rock!), but is this "helping people" topic too common?? what do you think??

thank you in advance!

1) nope. I did application online and other things offline, but I didn't have to pay the application fee

2) my highest writing score (out of 3 sittings) is 670, but i got accepted!! ^^

3) I think it looks really good. Also, every essay topic can be boring or excellent depending on the person's writing skill. If you feel condident, just go for it.

According to admission statistics, Statistics 2012 37% of students with Critical Reading scores between 650 and 690 were accepted. Given that you find this score "low", I'm guessing your writing and math are higher, which is a plus.

I consider my essay to have been terminally boring. In retrospect I wish I had written about my own mother, who worked at my high school.
