I was wondering.. if you register for an AP exam that your school does not offer, is it similar to SAT and SAT II.. you register and you go to a school at the designated time and take the test, or do you have to get an administrator from your school to watch over you while you take the AP exam at your school?

A proctor from your school will watch over you. If you let the school know you're gonna be taking that test they'll request it from CB and you'll take in May all by yourself.

^ i concur

so you have to take it at your own school?
What if they don't want to watch over you and buy all the AP exams?

You don't have to take it at your school, but it is a lot more efficient. My high school refused to administer me the Human Geo. and Comp. Gov. exams because they don't offer the courses. So I contacted AP services from the CollegeBoard website and they give me a list of local high schools that administred the exams and thier AP coordinator so I knew who to contact. I ended up arranging to take my exams at two different highschools. Fortunately my highschool changed thier minds at the last second and allowed me to take the exams there.

^ alright! Thanks for the information. I'll ask my principal about it and see what he says.
