Quick Athenaeum Supplement Q

I'm unclear as to how much I am expected to use this essay to further express parts of myself (either through directly drawing parallels between my chosen speaker and my personal accomplishments/beliefs, or any other method). To what extent is the essay expected to be analytical and objectively persuasive versus personal and character/experience illuminating?

Like would it be out of place to include an anecdote from my personal experience in order to illustrate a point? -and things of that nature

If you have any sort of lingering opinion about this thread PLEASE POST. no need to formulate a terribly articulate response (this could be a deterrent from posting and i could use as many opinions as i can get). I have little time! please help

Hey. So sorry this is hasty (written while waiting for les mis to start) but in my opinion, all college essays are written to not objectively respond to a particular question, although usually part of it, but rather to gain insight into who you are and how you will contribute to that particular college community. So, for this essay I combined some objective information about my person of interest because you can’t adequately say why you chose the person without, you know, talking about the person and somethings about my personality that didn’t appear in my personal statement. So in the three reasons why I would choose my person it revealed who I was and how I would fit the cmc mold. I hope this helps. Sorry really quick. And I was accepted btw so hopefully it gives this a little credibility haha.
