I am an international student who's applying for graduate school (Ph.D. Computer Science), and I just submitted a couple of applications to some US and Canadian universities; since I've received a full scholarship from an Australian university (Monash), I'm trying to get an idea of how much of a chance I would have with my US/Canadian applications before I make a move.

My overall stats would be:

Status: International Student
Degree: B.Sc Eng (Hons) Computer Science, First Class
Overall GPA: 3.85/4.20 (4.0/4.2 and 3.9/4.2 GPAs for the last two semesters)
TOEFL iBT: 115/120 (Reading = 30/30, Listening = 29/30, Writing = 30/30, Speaking = 26/30)
GRE General: Verbal = 540, Quantitative = 780, Analytical Writing = 4.5 (was expecting higher for analytical writing....)
GRE Subject: Not taken
Publications: one paper published
Recommendations: Recommendation providers are not really well known people, so don't have much strength there...

I applied/am applying for:

Cornell
Maryland College-Park
UCSD
Northwestern
Indiana, Bloomington
Texas A&M
Alberta (Canada)
Toronto (Canada)
Waterloo (Canada)
British Columbia (Canada)

In the case of Canadian universities, I'll be applying for a M.Sc, not Ph.D.

So, any idea what my chances are?
