The Northwestern website says that I should contact the local alumni admission council (AAC) director on or before 1/17/14. I discovered that fact today 1/18/14. Should I send an email to the local AAC head and request an interview or not? I do well in interviews.

Interviews are not a requirement for admittance. If you’re poor with interviews, the chances are such that it will only hurt you. So the fact you missed the deadline is not a huge deal.

If you still want to do the interview really badly, just give it a shot and email the director to see what happens!
