Can you use Calculus to solve any of the problems on the SAT? I just got curious and couldn't find an answer.

How about on the ACT?

you definitely don’t need calculus, and I don’t think I’ve seen any problems where it would even be useful. So, in a word, no.

Once in a while there is a problem where you CAN use Calculus. For example, if asked to find a minimum (usually the vertex of a parabola) you can take a derivative.

Exactly. There certainly are some questions that you *could *do with calculus–and there’s no rule against using calculus when it would work–but there are no questions that you need calculus in order to answer.
