<p>Academic honors include National Merit, AP Scholar, awards you received for academic excellence at your school, honor roll, etc... Your awards for journalism conventions (not sure what that is) sounds more like an extra curricular award.</p>

<p>On the page that asks you to list your extra curriculars, they also ask for positions held and honor received-it goes there. Not enough space? You can add more information in the space they give you at the end of the application.</p>
