quick question AP Gov...

I read somewhere something about the AP Comp. Govt. and Politics test being bundled with the US Govt. one? I'm so confused. Anyone care to explain to me? I know that they are one semester courses each, but when taking the AP tests, do you have to take both? I don't think so, right?

P.S.
Textbooks and prep book recommendations for both subjects would greatly be appreciated. Please keep in mind that I'm going to be self-studying these.

No... that's not true at all. US Government is a completely separate exam from Comparative Government.

As for textbook & prep book suggestions... I have no idea. Sorry :(

US Gov is the best cuz i got a 5 on the ap test. wait that has nothing to do with the question. o well.

ap gov is really dumb...
take it and its an automatic 5 if you take a little bit of time.
you could probably not study and get a 4 because a lot of it is common sense.

not entirely true. only like 15% get a 5, so i would not say it is any easier than other ap tests.

For Comp Gov get Ethel Woods' prep book. I read her prep book for 2 weeks before the exam three times and got an easy 5. I self studied also =]

My US gov class was one semester.. so I had a four month gap before the end of the class until the test. The week before, I read over Barrons.. but some of it is useless.. it's really helpful if you are able to decide for yourself which is important and which isn't (not too hard). I got a 5 :-)
