Excluding UC’s and CSU’s (from Cali), and those colleges which you told them on the app question which other schools you’re applying to, do they know? might they know?
<p>Sometimes they do, and sometimes they don't. Some outright ask, and they know what you tell them. If you filed FAFSA that info is right there and if they really want to know they could check at financial aid. Some might ask the GC if they have reason to be in contact with the person. It does not appear that most schools are that interested, but many do ask. I know that my son was auditioning for Music Theatre progams, and he said that at most of the auditions the question does come up.</p>
<p>Worse is the question, what schools do you prefer over this one, or where does this school fall on your list, or is this your first choice school? That has come up too. It's good to have a response formulated for such questions so you don't fall apart when they are asked.</p>
