i've heard much about UC GPA, which would be 10-11th grade A-G courses basically,

so I was filling out my app and I wonder, if this is their system, than why do I have to submit my 9th grade grades?

That does seem kind of illogical doesn’t it? I think it’s just so that if you’re borderline, they can see that you did well your freshman year too. And also, you have to prove that you have taken all the required courses (a-g) and you probably took some of them freshman year (ex: history, english, science maybe).

You must submit your 9th grade classes because those classes count toward your A-G requirements. Students who do not have all of their A-G requirements are not UC eligible, so if you don’t list your 9th grade classes you would not be eligible. 9th grade is not considered in the GPA calculation, but 1st semester senior year may be requested from borderline applicants at some campuses.

oh, so they need the grades in order to insure you passed all your A-G courses you took prior to the year?

why was this move to what are my chances? i’m not asking what my chances are >< i was just wondering why the application did that lmao

Moderator made mistake, me think.
